Who banned DMAA?

DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine) was banned in the US in 2013 by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The main reason for the ban was due to safety concerns as DMAA had been linked to several cases of serious side effects and even death. In addition, the FDA determined that there was no evidence to support the claimed health benefits of the substance.
