Does biotin grow hair everywhere?

Biotin is a vitamin which has been linked to hair growth and health. However, research has not yet been able to confirm that biotin is capable of directly stimulating hair growth in areas of the scalp where it has begun to thin or recede. Some studies suggest that biotin may help to strengthen existing hair, making it appear thicker and fuller, but it is not known to be able to stimulate hair growth in thinning or receding areas. It is best to speak to your doctor if you are looking for a way to stimulate hair growth.

Will biotin cause facial hair growth?

There is no scientific evidence to suggest that taking biotin supplements or any other supplement can cause facial hair growth. In fact, the American Hair Loss Association states that biotin has not been shown to be effective for treating hair loss. Additionally, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) states that biotin is not effective for treating any type of hair loss.
