How do you know if hair follicles are dead?

You can tell if your hair follicles are dead by looking for signs of thinning and balding. If there is no new hair growth, the follicles may be dead or dormant. You can also perform a biopsy to determine if the follicles are dead or alive. In a biopsy, a small sample of skin is taken from the affected area and examined under a microscope. If the follicles are dead, they will appear empty under the microscope.

Can dead hair follicles be revived?

Unfortunately, once a hair follicle has died, it cannot be revived. However, there are treatments available to help stimulate hair growth and reduce hair loss. These include medications, such as minoxidil, as well as certain lifestyle changes, such as reducing stress and eating a healthy diet. Additionally, some people may benefit from hair loss treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma therapy and hair transplantation.

Are my hair follicles dead or alive?

Hair follicles are alive and actively growing when hair is present, and can become dormant when hair is not growing. The life cycle of a hair follicle is divided into three stages: anagen, catagen, and telogen. Anagen is the growth phase, during which the hair follicle produces new cells that form the hair shaft. Catagen is the transition stage, during which the hair follicle shrinks and the hair shaft detaches from the follicle. Telogen is the resting phase, during which the hair follicle remains dormant until the next anagen phase.
