Can sunscreen block pores?

Sunscreen can help block pores, but it isn’t designed to do so. Sunscreen works by reflecting or scattering the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays away from the skin, preventing them from penetrating the skin and causing damage. While sunscreen can help protect the skin from sun damage and reduce the appearance of pores, it is not designed to block pores. To help block pores, you should use a moisturizer and a face wash containing ingredients such as salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or lactic acid, which can help clear dirt and oil from the pores.

How do I keep sunscreen from clogging my pores?

To prevent sunscreen from clogging your pores, it’s important to choose a sunscreen that is noncomedogenic and non-acnegenic. Choose a sunscreen that is oil-free and has a lightweight, non-greasy formula. Additionally, make sure to cleanse your face thoroughly before and after applying sunscreen, as well as remove any excess product with a soft cloth. Finally, exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin cells that can build up and lead to clogged pores.

Does sunscreen go into pores?

Sunscreen does not go into pores, but it is important to ensure that it is applied in a thin, uniform layer so that it can effectively protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. When applying sunscreen, it is important to use enough to cover your entire body and to re-apply every two hours or after swimming or sweating. Sunscreen should be applied 15–30 minutes before going outside, and all exposed areas should be covered with a generous amount of sunscreen.
