Can a 1 year old overdose on melatonin?

It is not recommended to give melatonin to children under the age of 3 as it can cause serious side effects including nightmares, bedwetting, nausea, and vomiting. Additionally, children under the age of 1 are at an increased risk of overdosing on melatonin as their bodies are still developing and may not be able to process the medication properly. It is best to consult a physician before giving melatonin to any child.
