Which is the rice bowl of India?

The rice bowl of India is a term used to describe the Indian states of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and parts of Uttar Pradesh, which are collectively responsible for producing more than half of India’s total rice production. These states have some of the most fertile land in the country and receive adequate rainfall, making them ideal for growing rice. As a result, they are collectively known as the «rice bowl of India».
