What mimics a meniscus tear?

A meniscus tear can be mimicked by a Baker’s cyst, which is a fluid-filled swelling behind the knee. Baker’s cysts typically form when fluid builds up in the knee joint due to injury or arthritis. While Baker’s cysts can cause similar symptoms to a meniscus tear, the two are not the same and require different treatments.
