Is SPF 70 or 100 better?

The SPF rating of a sunscreen indicates how well it filters out the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Generally speaking, SPF 70 blocks out 97% of UV radiation while SPF 100 blocks out 99%. Both offer good protection, but SPF 100 provides slightly better protection. It is important to note that a higher SPF rating does not necessarily mean that you can stay out in the sun for longer periods of time without reapplying sunscreen. Regardless of the SPF rating, sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours and after swimming.

Is SPF 70 good enough?

SPF 70 is considered to be a high protection level, so it is suitable for those who are at risk of burning easily or who are in a very sunny environment. However, if you are going to be spending a lot of time in the sun, it is recommended to use an SPF of 30 or higher. It is also important to remember to re-apply sunscreen every two hours, especially if you are sweating or swimming.

Is SPF 100 the strongest?

SPF 100 is the highest level of sun protection currently available on the market, providing up to 99.9% protection from UVB rays. However, it is not necessarily the strongest protection available, as there are other sunscreen formulations that provide higher levels of protection. For example, some sunscreens are labeled as “broad spectrum”, meaning that they provide UVA protection as well as UVB protection. UVA rays can cause wrinkles and other signs of aging, so it is important to look for sunscreens that provide broad spectrum protection in addition to high SPF.
