What is AHA BHA?

AHA and BHA are two types of chemical exfoliants commonly used in skincare products. AHA, or Alpha Hydroxy Acid, is an exfoliating agent that works by dissolving dead skin cells and reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging. BHA, or Beta Hydroxy Acid, is similar to AHA but is oil-soluble and better suited for oily skin types. Both AHA and BHA can be used to help improve the texture and tone of the skin, as well as help reduce the appearance of pores.

What does AHA BHA does to skin?

AHA and BHA are chemical exfoliants that are used to improve the appearance of skin. AHA’s, or alpha hydroxy acids, are water-soluble acids that help to remove dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and other signs of aging. BHA’s, or beta hydroxy acids, are oil-soluble acids that help to dissolve oil, reducing the appearance of pores and preventing breakouts. AHA’s and BHA’s work together to effectively exfoliate the skin, leaving it looking smoother and more youthful.

Is AHA BHA the same as salicylic acid?

AHA and BHA are both exfoliants that help to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, but they are not the same as salicylic acid. AHA stands for alpha hydroxy acid and BHA stands for beta hydroxy acid. Both AHA and BHA are water-soluble and can be used to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and to improve skin tone. Salicylic acid, on the other hand, is an oil-soluble exfoliant that is most commonly used to treat acne and to help clear up blemishes. All three of these exfoliants can be used together to help improve the appearance of the skin.
